Create and deploy registries
on the Ethereum blockchain

Regis was developed by ConsenSys. Consensus Systems (ConsenSys) is a venture production studio building decentralized applications and various developer and end-user tools for blockchain ecosystems, focusing primarily on Ethereum. The ConsenSys “hub” spawns, coordinates, incubates and accelerates “spoke” ventures through development, resource sharing, acquisitions, investments and the formation of joint ventures. These spokes benefit from foundational components built by ConsenSys that enable new services and business models to be built on the blockchain.

What is Regis?

Regis is an Ethereum-based registry system that enables people and organizations to timestamp, register and store any data or document of interest on the Ethereum World Computer in perpetuity. Users can deploy their own Regis registry on the public blockchain or on their private, permissioned blockchain. Organizations can enable their clientele access to the documents they care about and are entitled to inspect.

What is Regis good for?

Before Regis, records of ownership were fragile pieces of history that could be lost, censored, stolen, rearranged or destroyed. Today, Regis presents a straightforward solution for individual users, organizations, and dApps to register, track and transfer the ownership of digital assets and will stand the test of time.

Choose among a rich set of parameters and attach “behaviors” to the registries; Dynamic, real-time smart contract builder displays code as it’s created; Query the blockchain to find registries by key, type tag and owner; Built-in auction function for auctioning keys (English auction, Two-phase sealed-bid auction and Two-phase sealed-bid auction with hidden keys); Charge fees for new key registrations and transfers; Distribute fee among current key owners.
